If religious, friendship or cute kidd forwards don't move you to the height of emotion and get you passing them on, there are always animals.

Animal chain letters tend to play on a few very specific types of emotion, adoration, outrage, and sometimes alarm.

Animal pictures and stories are often too out-of-this-world cute and/or touching not to pass on, and tales of those poor little innocent kitties and bunnies and puppies and ponies and birdies and darling little rodents getting stuck in jars, killed on video tape, rescued only to be turned into stew at a certain date, stomped into the carpet, killed by a large dog, starved and displayed as art, thrown alive into a burning pile of leaves only to run out and burn down the house of the thrower, skinned/boiled alive, beaten to death, mutated so that KFC can satisfy its customers are just too outrageous not to pass on and be an angel to those poor abused animals and they absolutely MUST BE TRUE! Right?

This animal pound is not closing down and killing all its animals, and doesn't even exist where the chain says it does.

Don't worry, the dogs are home. First was the chain begging on behalf of six puppies, then came the one about two large dogs needing a home, both chains are out of date, erroneously calling rehoming "adoption" besides, all the "doggies" have been placed in new homes.
