Chain Letters, The Moments of Truth, How People Really Feel About Them

Most forwarders never know what a negative impact sending chain letters have on their contacts and why. Many recipients are just too afraid of hurting feelings or getting yelled at for not appreciating the chain as the forwarder apparently did. And forwarders do get upset and defensive when met with honesty about their forwarding habits and/or that they have just fallen for a hoax. So, instead of quitting the chain letter habit, they just ignore their friends, take them out of their junkmail list, and continue sending forwarded junk to others who won't say anything unless it's praise for the chain letter and the person sending it.

This leads to some seriously frustrated reactions which are being posted elsewhere, because people who dislike forwards have feelings too.
